Sarah & Oren - Archer Hotel Napa, Ca / Mare Island brewing Co. Vallejo, Ca

This is not your average wedding with an extraordinary couple. Black dress, artichoke in the bouquet, seafood fried rice, ice cream bar, dessert bar, and no walking down the aisle AND married at a brewery …. I mean COME ON. Sarah and Oren relaxed and got ready in the Archer Hotel, In napa Ca then had an amazing ceremony and reception at Mare Island Brewing,

When I asked Sarah what her favorite part was, this is what she said “I think my favorite part about the wedding was seeing all of our friends and family come together. I have a very large and unique blended family and it was fun to see them all in one place (that doesn’t happen ever).”

I also asked Sarah if she had any tips for any couples planning their wedding, and this is what she said “My advice for a bride planning her wedding is to do exactly what YOU want. It is so easy to let friends, family, and strangers sway you into doing something that is more traditional than what you want. Find someone who understands you, knows you, and you trust who will be honest with you, and have your back when it comes to others trying to push their agendas on you. It’s important to plan your ideal wedding, not your parent’s, in-law’s, or friend’s. Lastly, take time on the day of to sneak away to breathe, it’s an overwhelming and demanding day, so do as much self-care as possible.”

Chelsea & James - Grace Vineyards, Galt CA

When planning a wedding you go into a lot of thought on where you want your big day. Chelsea and James came across this location while trying to find a layback, backyard feel and man was this place amazing. It was so relaxed and beautiful and had vineyards for that napa feel and wide open country lad for that backyard BBQ feel. Grace Vineyards is a new up and coming wedding venue that has so much to offer.

I was lucky enough to attend high school with James and when it was time to marry the love of his life Chelsea I was so grateful and honored that they reached out to me. Watching him grow up to be the man he is today is truly a gift and can see why his mom had a smile on her face the whole time. Chelsea and James, thanks again for choosing me to capture your big day. :)

An endless week / weekend of great wine tastings, amazing restaurants, hanging out with friends and family right before an absolutely beautiful wedding. When I asked Karla what her favorite part of her wedding was she said “I LOVED EVERYTHING. I’m sad it went so fast, But loved my family being together.” I also asked if she had any advice for future brides and Karla said “Hire a videographer, it goes by so fast. You’ll want to look back at it.”

Amanda & Curtis - The Bayley Barn - Pilot Hill, CA

My love for old building and gorgeous brides was making this day pretty amazing. It was such an honor to capture Amanda & Curtis wedding at The Bayley Barn, An old historic home The Bayley house that was built in 1861 hopping to be the next grand hotel in Pilot Hill but Central Pacific railroad decided to go up Auburn and not Pilot hill so the hotel flopped.

When I asked Amanda what was her favorite part of the wedding was she said "Everything" "I loved walking down the isle with my dad and dancing and my sisters speech, it really touched my heart" I also asked Amanda what advise she would say to future brides and she said " Dont stress the small stuff, everything always comes together and to just enjoy every minute. When we found out we left the wedding rings back at the hotel and I was starting to have a melt down, I had to stop and remember I'm about to marry my best friend and all those little things dont matter I still got to marry the love of my life and we still had a beautiful ceremony"

Thank you again Amanda and Curtis for choosing me to capture your amazing day :)

Katelyn & Ian Engagement in Hope Valley

I had the pleasure of chatting on the phone with this amazing couple before we got together for the engagament session, they had me at Hope Valley and Husky for their session. This super cool couple was so kind to meet me and drive me up with them the rest of the way ( I hate driving in the snow ) We chatted and laughed for hours about beer, dogs, and weddings. The snow was perfect, the day was perfect, and Katelyn and Ian were perfect :) Can't wait to capture their big day.
