Jullie & Kevin - Brix Napa, Ca

When a food blogger gets married, how could you not pick one of the best restaurants in Napa, CA

I asked Jullie what was her favorite part of the day this is what she said “My favorite part of the wedding was the actual ceremony...my dad crying while walking me down the aisle, our families taking part in the ceremony, and getting to do all of the traditional elements such as the veil and cord...it was all so profound and intimate. And I knew I’d have my best friend, love of my life, and best partner/teammate I could ever ask for by my side, forever. That is the best part. (But a close second would be all of the food at our reception! Lol Brix is so good!!!)

I also asked Jullie if she had any tips for future brides :) This is what she said “ Since I‘m also pregnant and I wanted my wedding to be as stress-free as possible, my tips are all about self-care and comfort! A) Don’t forget to eat. You might be worried about squeezing into your dress, but nobody wants a bride with low energy/blood sugar levels either. Especially if you have an afternoon ceremony like I did, make sure to fit a light, balanced lunch in beforehand! And hydrate with enough water, summer brides! B) Have comfy shoes ready for the reception! I wore flat sandals and it helped a ton. Once you’ve stood around taking photos and have done a bit of walking around different locations, your feet (and calves!) will thank you for the relief of flats. C) Remember to relax and enjoy your moment! It’s really easy to get swept up in the scheduling of it all—ceremony at 2, photos next, cocktail reception at x-oclock, then speeches, then first dances, etc., etc. Take a moment every now and then to take your own mental snapshots, breathe and be present, and feel gratitude for your special day!

Sarah & Oren - Archer Hotel Napa, Ca / Mare Island brewing Co. Vallejo, Ca

This is not your average wedding with an extraordinary couple. Black dress, artichoke in the bouquet, seafood fried rice, ice cream bar, dessert bar, and no walking down the aisle AND married at a brewery …. I mean COME ON. Sarah and Oren relaxed and got ready in the Archer Hotel, In napa Ca then had an amazing ceremony and reception at Mare Island Brewing,

When I asked Sarah what her favorite part was, this is what she said “I think my favorite part about the wedding was seeing all of our friends and family come together. I have a very large and unique blended family and it was fun to see them all in one place (that doesn’t happen ever).”

I also asked Sarah if she had any tips for any couples planning their wedding, and this is what she said “My advice for a bride planning her wedding is to do exactly what YOU want. It is so easy to let friends, family, and strangers sway you into doing something that is more traditional than what you want. Find someone who understands you, knows you, and you trust who will be honest with you, and have your back when it comes to others trying to push their agendas on you. It’s important to plan your ideal wedding, not your parent’s, in-law’s, or friend’s. Lastly, take time on the day of to sneak away to breathe, it’s an overwhelming and demanding day, so do as much self-care as possible.”

Ugne & Wyatt - Park Winters, Winters CA

Ugne & Wyatt were married at the park winters, in winters Ca.

When I asked Ugne a little on their love story and how they met, this is what she said “Wyatt and I met doing the thing we enjoy the most in our free time: Video Games. At that time, we were living eight hours away while I attended college. In between studying and work, we would spend hours a week playing games together, first with a group of friends and then later between just the two of us. Video games turned into Skype calls and about half a year later, we met for the first time in person at Six Flags with some friends of mine. Since I had to go back to college, we continued spending time online every day and saw each other a couple times a year. Things weren't easy, but we stuck with each other for three years before we finally moved in together. This year, we will celebrate six years together and our first wedding anniversary and we still play video games on a regular basis together. “

When I asked about her favorite part of the wedding this is what she said, “My immediate family lives on the other side of the country, and the remaining relatives overseas. Most of my family hasn't met Wyatt's side of the family, so for everyone to come together for the first time was truly heartwarming. Looking back at the photos and wedding video, having the people we love the most be with us was an incredible joy.”

I asked Ugne if she had any tips for a couple planning their wedding, this is what she said, “Do what works best for you and your husband. There seem to be many unwritten rules and expectations in online communities, and there is no problem in glancing there for inspiration, but it is not a cookie cutter. Take your time to look for good vendors and know what you expect of them. Our vendors all were incredibly amazing, but it took some time to find them. And remember what matters the most: That at the end of the day you and your husband will be married and you got to celebrate with people you love. Mishaps will happen, trust your professional vendors (Hiring a wedding coordinator is a MUST, even if you planned most of the details of the day yourself, a lot of the day-of stress will be relieved if you know that someone is keeping an eye on everything for you).”

Czarina & Lance - Jefferson Street Mansion, Benicia CA

Wozzers, where to start. First time I’ve seen so many tears of joy in such a beautiful ceremony. There was not a single dry eye in the house and it was so heart touching. The power of god was truly in this amazing couples heart. Czarina & Lance had their ceremony at Iglesia Ni Cristo - Church of Christ then reception to follow at Jefferson street mansion in Benicia

When I asked Czarina how they met, this is what she said “Lance and I met at a church gathering in 2009 same church we got married at 10 years later :) we were dating other people at the time, but God works in mysterious ways and brought us to each other in 2013. We're so blessed we ended up together.”

When I asked Czarina what her favorite part was, this is what she said. “Our favorite part of our wedding day was saying our vows at the altar. It was the sweetest and most memorable and sentimental part of our wedding.”

I also asked her is she had any tips for future brides :) this is what she said “Some tips I'd like to give to future brides, which were also tips given to me prior to the wedding are: 1) take a moment out of your wedding day, look at your husband, and embrace the fact that you're now .. married! 2) don't sweat the small stuff, your wedding will be perfect no matter what and 3) eat”

Thank you again for letting is capture your love story.
